Everything's Fine!

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. We were really pretty freaked this morning walking into Mott Hospital and waiting in the pediatric cardiology unit. After a half an hour work of close up ultrasounds of the baby's heart, the doctor told us that everything looked normal and that we had nothing to worry about! Praise God! Colby keeps telling me that this girl is just stressing us out to prepare us for when she is 12-18. :)

Bad Hair Day

This is what happens when we put Breslin down for a nap right after giving him a bath. Major volume! By the way, thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. We go to the U of M pediatric cardiology department on Thursday morning for a fetal echocardiogram. We will be able to speak to the cardiologist right after the procedure, so we won't have to wait around to figure out what's going on, if anything. That's still what we are hoping and praying for. Breslin has gotten some major quality time with his Grandpa Stuart this weekend. They have been hanging out chasing ducks, playing on the porch, and just relaxing while my dad is here helping Colby tear out one of our upstairs bedrooms for the new nursery. New things that Breslin does that annoy me: 1) Opens the lazy susan and gets out every box of cereal, crackers, or cookies, and brings the box to me, signing "more". 2) Cries if I won't open the box. 3) Opens the box on his own if I won't and dumps all ...

Prayers Appreciated

A few weeks ago, we found out in our ultrasound that we were having a girl. We are so excited about a Sharp girl, but we would appreciate your prayers. When we returned to the doctor last week, the report showed a potential heart defect/problem. We don't know yet if this will be a real problem at all, and if it is, what it will mean or what it will entail, but we are pretty scared and we don't know what to expect. Right now we are doing a lot of praying ourselves and are trying to trust that God will do His perfect will in our family's future.

Breslin's New Shoes

Image
Breslin's feet are, ummm, chubby. It has been difficult to find shoes that fit him. So far, the only shoes we have been able to stuff his feet into are these moccasin type things. The soft soles have not been good for stomping around the wet spring ground. Yesterday we found a pair of Airwalks at Payless that fit perfectly! We celebrated by taking Bres to the park (which is right across the river from our house...MAN, I love saying that...that's right, I have a river in my backyard and a park right across from it) and letting him go anywhere he wanted in those new shoes. You could totally see his mind running, thinking "What? You mean that I can actually walk around? You're not going to chase me down and pick me up?" It was really fun, even though he kept trying to steal this little girl's saltines. Oh well, we ended the night with ice cream and everybody slept really hard later.
