Pumpkins!

Our very own little chubby pumpkin. :)

This evening we carved pumpkins. Oh, how things can change in a year! Last year, Colby and I peacefully cleaned and carved our pumpkins while Breslin slept. This year, we attempted to clean and carve while Breslin intensely checked out the goings-on. This included dumping out our bag of "pumpkin guts", sifting through the slimy pumpkin seeds (we save them to bake after we're done carving), and trying his darndest to grab the carving knives when we weren't looking. When I finished carving his pumpkin, Bres was able to point out where the pumpkins eyes, ears, and nose were. He kept pointing to the top and saying "hair", so I think we still need to work on that one.

I think the end result turned out pretty well, considering. Our own little pumpkin family is now happily lighting up our tiny front porch.
