Day 967 -- 2 a Days
Yesterday, Colby and I took an early morning hike to Baskins Creek Falls. There, we were asked astounded by the beauty of a raging waterfall. The hike, however, was only 3.2 miles long and left is wanting a little more. So after lunch and an afternoon nap, we hit the trails for a second time--our first ever late afternoon hike. We chose the Alum Cave Bluff trail, as we had done it previously and knew it was incredible. We weren't disappointed. It turns out that evening hiking isn't quite as popular, so the traffic on the trail was light and petered out the farther up we went. We were so happy that we seized the chance to do this 2 a day and see a beautiful place we might not have been able to on this trip otherwise.
Here is a vine Colby made of the bluff once we reached the top:

Thank God for our 2 a day!
Lord, thank you for giving us the energy and opportunity to do two hikes today. In your name I pray, Amen.
