Day 946 -- Sleepover

Yesterday, we had an awesome time at Kids N Stuff Children's Museum with the Messer family.  Each of our children has a Messer counterpart, and the kids have attended daycare together since infancy.

Spontaneously during our visit, Colby and I offered to have the Messer kiddos come to our house to stay the night.  So, this evening we have had 6 children.

It's been a little crazy, sure, but the blessing has been watching the Sharp-Messer pairings.  AJ and Mary ventured all over the house together, hand in hand.  They engrossed themselves in some sort of imaginative game in the yard.  They played babies in the upstairs playroom.  They banged on the piano.  Before bed, they exchanged their precious stuffed animals.  Mary gave AJ her stuffed deer and AJ gave up Tootsie for her best friend.  May favorite part of the evening was watching the two of them try to talk into the fan after I demonstrated:

Dharia and Mia were a bit more active -- jumping up and down on the trampoline until after dark and playing Connect Four.

James and Breslin were definitely the most "chill" of the group, playing Mario, talking Donkey Kong, and watching TV.

It has been a blast watching our kids with their friends.  I'm so glad we had the opportunity to hang out with all of these cool kids.

Thank God for a sleepover!

Lord, thank you for a fun day and night with the Messer kids.  Thank you for giving my kids such amazing friends.  In your name I pray, Amen.
