Day 981 -- Funny Sleeping Positions

Colby and I took off for Lake Odessa this afternoon to watch his younger brother Sam play his first JV football game of the season.  The anticipation of the football season was in the air, and though it didn't feel even a little bit like fall, we were all chomping at the bit to see some action under the lights.

The kids stayed with their Grandma Kathy, and when we returned, the girls were both 100% passed out in the living room.

I am so thankful that I got to see their exhaustion take the form of hilarious sleeping positions.  AJ, on the couch, had her left leg splayed so that it was propped directly on top.  Dharia, was completely perpendicular draped over a recliner.  After a very full day and returning home late from a long trip, it was wonderful to be able to chuckle a little bit.

I am also grateful that Grandma Kathy allowed them to maintain their awkward or maybe super-comfortable positions by allowing them to just spend the night.  They were obviously exhausted, so this way they were able to have some much-needed uninterrupted rest.

Thank God for funny sleeping positions!

Lord, thank you for the way that my kids are always able to make a day better.  Thank you that thy were able to get some rest tonight.  In your name I pray, Amen.
